Step by Step Guidelines for Underwear measurement

1. Waist extended on the half: Hold the waistband and stretch the garment out to its fullest extent, taken at the top edge of the garment.
2. Waist relaxed on the half: Measure the waistband without any tension on the elastic, taken across the top edge of the waistband, flattening out any bulky areas
3. Hip on half (essentials): Measure straight across at leg opening, seam to seam
4. Side seam depth: Measure from the top waist edge to the top of the leg opening (including trims)
5. Front rise: Top edge of the waistband along the seam to crotch point, except for lap seam which is measured in the center of the twin needle
6. Back rise: Top edge of the waistband along the seam to crotch point, except for lap seam which is measured in the center of the twin needle
7. Width of center front panel: Measure between stitching at waist – edge to edge
8. Width of center front panel: Measure between stitching at the crotch seam
9. Front rise floating gusset: Measure from center front waist edge to back gusset seam
10. Gusset length: Measure from the front gusset edge to the back gusset seam
11. Front gusset width/crotch width: Measure leg edge to edge along the gusset seam
12. Gusset at narrowest: Measure at narrowest point leg edge to edge
13. Back gusset width: From leg edge to leg edge along the back gusset seam
14. Back coverage: Measure at 7cm up from crotch straight across
15. Leg opening relaxed in half: Measure with leg edges together
16. Leg opening stretched in half: Measure along the edge fully extended
17. Inside leg seam: Measure from crotch point to hem along the seam
18. Outside leg seam: Measure from the top of the waistband down the outside leg seam
19. Leg opening/hem width: Measure along the hem edge of the garment.
